Trey Powell has shown great interest in music for much of his life. Hailing from the self-proclaimed US Pickle Capital of Mt. Olive, NC, Trey Powell has been greatly influenced by the rural sound-scape of Eastern NC, and dedicates himself to various forms of American Roots music, such as Americana, Country, Blues, Rock and Roll, etc. Trey is an aspiring songwriter and musician, with formal music training both in classical and contemporary forms of music. Trey is a vocalist and instrumentalist, most proficient on guitar, piano, harmonica, and bass guitar.
Trey Powell holds a degree in Commercial Music and Audio Production from Western Carolina University. Trey loves to write and create his own music, but equally loves to work collaboratively with other musicians in order to help them realize their musical visions as an audio engineer and producer.
Trey presently works as a live sound engineer in Nashville. Additionally, Trey continues to write and perform his own material, as well as perform with other musicians, most notably, with his band, the Rudge Powell Band.
